Le Choc de la couleur
Le Choc de la couleur is a solo exhibition by Vincent Bioulès, featuring approximately twenty recent paintings. The works explore the artist's free and strong use of color, presented on a large scale. Six significant paintings, created in the artist's studio in the south of France, are central to the exhibition, conveying a powerful visual impact and a sense of raw natural force.
The exhibition also includes monumental floral still lifes, characterized by bold colors and strong contrasts, which are presented as landscapes in their own right. Bioulès, a co-founder of the Supports/Surfaces movement, demonstrates his continued innovation and mastery at the age of 88, taking creative risks such as leaving sections of canvas unpainted to enhance freshness and movement.
