Paris

The exhibition "Paris" at Polka Galerie presents previously unseen works by Sebastião Salgado focusing on the city he adopted. These photographs, created in his later years, capture his observations of Paris, particularly along the Canal Saint-Martin, and represent his most recent work.

This exhibition also revisits Salgado's early photographic career in Paris during the 1970s, shortly after he fled the Brazilian dictatorship. Curated from his initial archives, including negatives and contact sheets, these images offer a tender and beautiful glimpse into his formative years as a photographer in the city. The show spans from these early works to his final photographs.
