Nancy Brooks Brody : As if it wasn't there
Galerie Christophe Gaillard, Paris, presents "As If It Wasn't There," the first solo exhibition by Nancy Brooks Brody. The exhibition, running from May 16 to June 20, 2026, showcases Brody's rigorous artistic practice, which is rooted in minimalism. Throughout her career, Brody explored themes of presence and absence, the ephemeral and the grounded, through painting, drawing, and sculpture, often incorporating spatial and material interventions related to the human body.
Nancy Brooks Brody (1962–2023) was a founding member of the feminist and queer activist artist collective fierce pussy. Her work is noted for enriching the gallery's program, which focuses on identity, history, and transmission processes. Brody's work is currently also featured in the 61st Venice Biennale as part of Koyo Kouoh's "In Minor Keys."
