Ad Vitam

Louis Salkind presents his latest series of paintings, "Ad Vitam," at Galerie Dix9 in Paris. This exhibition marks Salkind's fourth solo show at the gallery and features a collection of allegorical works that explore the unconscious and unspoken aspects of contemporary society. The pieces are characterized by a poetic tone, ranging from playful to melancholic, and carry fundamental political undertones.

The "Ad Vitam" series comprises mixed media works on canvas, created between 2020 and 2026. Titles such as "L'enlèvement des Sabines," "Selfie," "Extase," and "Familly" suggest a thematic exploration of human experience and societal commentary. Salkind, born in France in 1982, developed this body of work after years of travel and artistic practice, continuing his inquiry into the deeper layers of human thought and societal constructs.
