Res In Luce

Gregory Derenne presents "Res In Luce" (In Light) at Backslash, Paris, marking a shift in his artistic focus from urban landscapes to intimate still life paintings. This exhibition, initiated in 2020, explores a more interior and meditative mode of painting, moving away from architectural subjects to confined, silent spaces where light, matter, and time appear suspended.

Derenne's approach to still life is patient and intuitive, focusing on objects that present themselves through chance or use, rather than assembling them for pictorial purposes.
