Reconfiguration
"Reconfiguration" is a group exhibition at BEIGE (June 9 – July 4, 2026) featuring Fumimaro Ayano, Geert Goiris, and Maria Saygua André. Rather than treating images and materials as simple reflections of reality, the show explores how they actively shape and alter it. By placing these three distinct practices side-by-side, the exhibition investigates how contemporary representation is continuously constructed and destabilized.
The artists use different mediums to challenge how we look at the world. Ayano reworks found objects and photos into installations that question cultural systems and how images circulate. Goiris uses ambiguous photography of landscapes and architecture to create a sense of estrangement, making scale and time feel uncertain. Meanwhile, André draws on her dual Andean and Western background, creating textiles and sculptures where material and cultural knowledge are constantly transformed rather than fixed.
