Urban Tales

Fab Rideti

Frédérick Mouraux Gallery, Brussels, presents "Urban Tales," an exhibition of works by Fab Rideti, running from March 15 to April 25, 2026. The series was created as part of the Carte Blanche project commissioned by Tribe Hotels (Accor). Rideti, known for staged portraits and imaginary characters, adapted to the hotel spaces by creating scenes from reinvented urban fairy tales.

Rideti reinterprets iconic female fairy tale figures as modern, free, and multifaceted heroines. These characters navigate temptation, danger, melancholy, and absurdity, maintaining a sense of power and contemporary relevance. The artist constructs staged, theatrical, and narrative photographs, where each image functions like a painting, characterized by precise composition, controlled lighting, bold colors, and repurposed accessories. Rideti's aesthetic signature blends humor, irony, and cultural references within a cinematic and graphic style.
