Les Choses De La Vie

Galerie Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois, Paris presents "Daniel Spoerri, les choses de la vie," an exhibition featuring works by Daniel Spoerri. The exhibition showcases a selection of his "tableaux-pièges" (trap paintings) and assemblages, created between 1961 and 2000. These works are characterized by the artist's practice of fixing everyday objects onto surfaces, thereby preserving moments in time and transforming them into art.

Featured pieces include "Parc de bébé (ou Parc à bébé)" (1961), "Tondre un œuf" (1964), "Der geile Biber (Le castor excité)" (1988), "Tableau-piège fabriqué sous licence par Otto Hahn et Alain Jacquet" (1966), "Das letzte Hemd hat keine Taschen (On n’emporte rien dans la tombe)" (1989), "Good Year for the Mechanical Bride" (1976), and "Teste fumanti – Mir raucht der Kopf (Steaming heads – My head is spinning)" (1995-2000). The exhibition explores Spoerri's engagement with found objects and his unique approach to composition.
