Silent Conversations

Esther Verhaeghe – art concepts in Brussels presents "Silent Conversations," an exhibition featuring Daniel Enkaoua and Atsushi Mannami. The show explores the dialogue between painting and ceramics, focusing on themes of fragility, presence, and evolving forms. Enkaoua's paintings, presented on a more intimate scale than previously shown, delve into still lifes and fragments, with a subdued light that suggests a slow perception and an interior space.

Mannami's ceramic sculptures, recently exhibited at Ceramic Brussels, introduce a different form of presence. These works, inspired by architecture and its residual or non-functional elements, appear as fragments of abandoned or reassembled constructions. They create unstable, provisional spaces where form seems to both hold and dissolve, engaging in a dialogue with Enkaoua's focus on the visible that dissipates and a painting that approaches silence.
