Coltorti, born in Naples in 1989, lives and works in Paris. His work is characterized by a space between figuration and abstraction, drawing inspiration from art history and the works of old masters to evolve his practice.

Coltorti aims to create paintings that are timeless and exist independently of specific eras. He builds his canvases layer by layer, allowing pigments to merge and penetrate the surface. For the artist, a painting is not static but is in constant flux, both physically and metaphysically in the viewer's mind, aiming for a deeply personal yet universal resonance.
