Esther Verhaeghe – art concepts presents Béatrice Guilleman’s first solo exhibition, which also marks the artist’s first collaboration with the gallery. Bringing together a selection of recent works, the exhibition reflects an ongoing exploration in which sculpture acts as a space for silent storytelling and transformation. Situated at the intersection of architecture, the human body and animal forms, Béatrice Guilleman’s sculptures open up ambiguous spaces that are both protective and unstable.

The sculptural structures appear as inhabited constructions, traversed by forces of tension, support and metamorphosis. Pillars, thresholds and load-bearing elements are transformed into almost organic presences, characterised by subtle imbalances and incomplete symmetries. Animal figures, situated on the boundary between creatures and chimeras, occupy a central place in the works. These hybrid and fragmented forms accompany the structures like protective presences, prompting a reflection on life, otherness and forms of coexistence.
