Inner Space
Opera Gallery Paris presents 'Inner Space', the third solo exhibition in Paris by Swiss artist Andy Denzler. The exhibition features 29 recent oil paintings created between 2025 and 2026, exploring the human condition in the digital age through intimate portraits and imagined interiors. Denzler's work investigates identity as it oscillates between physical presence and digital echo, depicting a contemporary state shaped by constant mediation, where the self is curated and environments are designed.
The works in 'Inner Space' portray the human figure as a quiet archetype within invented interiors, where memory blurs and identity can glitch. Denzler uses a palette that shifts from darker tones to lighter hues like creams and Naples yellows, applying paint with a tension between smooth surfaces and fragmentation. The exhibition examines how painting remains a vital medium for understanding our inhabitation of images and for making visible internal complexities, exploring the fragile relationship between reality and perception.
