Autobiography in Fragments

Galerie Loevenbruck, Paris, presents "Fragments d’autobiographie / Autobiography in Fragments. A Centenary Retrospective," an exhibition of works by Alina Szapocznikow, running from May 22 to July 31, 2026. The exhibition marks the centenary of the artist's birth (1926–1973) and spans her creations from 1946 to 1972.

Across its two spaces at 6 and 12 rue Jacques Callot, the gallery offers a chronological survey of Szapocznikow's oeuvre. The exhibition explores how the artist conveyed her intimacy and experiences, merging personal history with universal themes. It highlights the emotional depth and formal innovation of this Franco-Polish artist, who translated suffering and memory into a unique sculptural language.
