Là où marchent les dieux

Là où marchent les dieux (Where the Gods Walk) is Abel Burger’s new solo exhibition at Galerie DYS. This exhibition is part of an ongoing eponymous system being created by the artist, which will develop in various artistic forms including film and books. The presentation features a selection of drawings and paintings created in recent months, born under different skies. These works mark stages in Burger's quest, leading him to confront the solitude of ancient temples and the fervor of orthodox chapels in an intimate search for the meaning of the sacred.

The exhibition also announces the publication of a limited-edition facsimile of the research and drawing notebook that accompanied Burger in the early stages of this project. These sketches, texts, and free manifestations of color are presented as a journal or a magic crucible, revealing the genesis of forms and ideas in his work. Burger is described as both a demiurge and a discoverer, giving form to what his intuition perceives of invisible worlds. His drawings are spaces where signs, gestures, and beliefs overlap and articulate, weaving a non-linear narrative through fragmented traces and ritual scenes.
